Our favorite activity was definitely floating in the water by the dock because the lake was crazy busy over the weekend. We did take the boat out on Thursday and each morning for some wake boarding time. That first day, Addi got it in her head that she wanted to learn to ski. Since we have small training skis, we figured she could give it a go even though she's not even close to being strong enough to hold on. She's not usually a risk taker so we weren't about to discourage her from trying something new. Jeff gave her a good lesson and got her going a bit but once we picked up speed, she fell and her skis came off. Poor thing, he forgot to tell her to let go of the rope when that happens so she clung on and got drug under water for a while until I got the boat stopped. She got herself some brave bones though because even after that, she was willing to get back in for another try. It didn't last long and we figured that was the end of her bravery for the summer. But she proved us wrong the very next day when she decided she was plenty old and brave enough to jump off the neighbor's 2-story dock. I know it's hard to see her and that's because she didn't give us time to get the camera ready. She just walked over and jumped without any hesitation. She loved it and jumped several more times that morning. She was so excited to show Jeff when he came back from work the next day.

But when he came home and the girls went over to try the jump, both got scared and came back down the stairs. It was Caroline's first time up there so we can't really blame her for being scared---it's very high. But it makes no sense for Addi to chicken out since she had jumped so many times the day before and loved it. Strange kid.

We take pics of the kids sitting on this ledge each summer and they almost never smile for them. Jackson wanted to go inside and Addi wanted to swim.

Crazy boy isn't too cooperative with the camera but I got this great pic of his backside.

This is really the only way Jackson wanted to be in the lake...cuddled up with me in a dry tube.

Another one of Addi's new tricks...she practiced her cannonball until she got it right though : )

We watched the Hell's Gate fireworks from afar this year and they were as beautiful as always. Here are our fellow lake rats, sorta cleaned up and enjoying the fireworks...
Caroline, Addi, and Jackson (Jackson hardly watched the fireworks. He just wanted to wrestle everyone the entire time. He's one crazy boy.)
