Eat, sleep, pee

Jackson is celebrating his one week birthday with a quiet day at home. Its been a busy week for this little fella. He has been squeezing a lot of meet and greet time between eating periods and naps. There's been a steady stream of visitors all week. Coleman and Kristen McDonald win the prize for traveling the farthest, traveling all the way from Germany to meet the little man. Coleman is a fierce fighter pilot for the USAF but was not so sure about holding little ol' Jackson.

In case you were wondering, we have officially been initiated into life with a baby boy. Jackson does have the ability to pee several feet in almost all directions, seemingly all at the same time. Its pretty much impossible to "catch" it once it starts so we've learned to take preventative measures with a washrag during diaper changes. Its also a neat trick and a learned skill to get proper postioning in the diaper so that all fluids are contained until diaper time. We would dress Jackson in a very cute little outfit only to have it get soaked within minutes. We're learning though. Here are a few pictures from today and he's still wearing the same outfit now after several hours. Success!



And not to forget about our proud big sister. Addi is very sweet to baby Jackson and loves kissing his head. She's already a good helper by taking all poopy diapers directly to where they need to go---right to daddy. She makes sure to let him know its "shoo-ee" so that's he's prepared. She does still enjoy her playtime with anyone around. This is a picture of Jeff giving her an airplane ride one morning.
