Play Hard, Sleep Hard

We took our friends, the Jennings, out to the deer lease with us this weekend for some grand adventures. Okay, maybe they weren't so grand, but it was fun all the same. Addi had fun showing Caroline how things work at the lease, especially how to touch the doe Greg shot. The kids sleep well out there, but they're still always tired when we come home because they play so hard during the day. This time was no different...they wore themselves out and the crazy heat (high 80's) didn't help. This is less than five minutes after we left yesterday:


They slept almost the entire way home, had a late night with Nana and Grandpa while Jeff and I were at a party, and slept so late this morning that we had trouble getting to church on time. They both took over 3 hour naps this afternoon and went to bed without a fuss tonight. They are happily exhausted though. We had a fun day taking it easy and playing at home today. Addi learned to hop on one foot at church this morning and spent a lot of time practicing today. Jackson thought she was dancing so he followed her around dancing and waving his arms like the little darling that he is.

Addi was trying to wrestle Kate. She can never get Kate down, but that doesn't keep her from trying. I'm not sure what was up with Jack in this pic...he really wasn't upset.
