Yesterday, crazy Jeff fell from this rock...

while trimming this branch...

and proudly lived to tell about it.

He did have to go to the ER for stitches but only after showering and shaving because well, it's Jeff. After getting all fancied up for the ER nurses, he walked down the road to a neighbor's house to hitch a ride to the hospital and I met him there to make sure he was actually as okay as he said over the phone.
There are several details of the story that make it even more crazy than just falling off these rocks into the lake. A couple are that Jeff was at the lake house alone with no transportation and his phone was in his pocket when he fell (let's observe a moment of silence for Jeff's precious i-phone).
We've played the "what if" game--"what if he'd hit his head?" "What if he'd broken his legs or worse?" "What if he'd landed on the clippers or that sharp rock sticking up out of the water?" Really, with a fall like he took, the injuries could have been, should have been much worse. The only explanation is that God was watching out for Jeff yesterday. We both just keep saying that and being so thankful for His protection over Jeff. What else can we do? I know, we can learn from it. Tell me good readers, do you think Jeff learned from this incident? This picture was taking today, less than 24 hours after his fall and less than 4 seconds before being yelled at to GET DOWN OFF THAT ROCK AND TRIM THEM FROM THE GROUND!

Sigh.

Tricia: We are so glad that Jeff is doing well. We give thanks that God took good care of him and a few stitches was all that was needed
We love you
You know Trish, I just dont think our husbands will EVER learn! hehehe
Jeff, the first rule of proper yard care is that God designed those things to grow, so let them! The only thing I am disappointed in is that Jeff did not stitch himself up but went to the ER.
Glad your okay, see you guys soon.
so glad he was okay!
ah, i miss the lake house. maybe one last visit before we leave this fine state???
would love to spend some good time with you guys and catch up on life!
Oh my goodness! I am so glad Jeff is okay!
Wow, you're right - that could've been so much worse, and I'm glad it wasn't! Praise God!
