Jeff's promotion ceremony was last week. He's been promoted for a while now, but this ceremony was to honor all the guys promoting throughout the department. During the ceremony, we sat in the audience while the guys sat in front. Addi could just barely see her daddy so she quietly stood on a chair to see him better. Jackson was not so subtle. He caught one glimpse of Jeff and started yelling "Da-da! Da-deeeeeeee! DA-DEEEEE!" pretty much the entire time. It was embarrassing but kinda cute. I had the honor of pinning Jeff's badge on him to signify his promotion and the kids came up front with me....doesn't Jeff look nice in his dress uniform?
This was Jackson's first visit to the station that he was aware of his surroundings. He was all about the fire trucks, just running from one to another yelling something and pointing out neat things. This is the kiddos showing off "Daddy's Truck."
Addi wasn't about to let something as silly as having her best dress on keep her from driving the truck like her daddy does.
