"Jackson, pull up your underwear."
"NO! They're PANTIES!"
The problem is that the training pants we bought didn't work so well so we improvised with Addi's size 4 panties. Jackson doesn't mind a bit but he absolutely knows the difference and refuses to call them anything but panties. We'll work on it. He's down for a nap now in panties and I'm going to call this one day training a success even for boys. The only difference between training Addi and Jackson is that Jack is much less compliant and he can hold his urine for a very long time. He waited almost 2 1/2 hours before peeing despite having downed over 16 oz of fluids during that time. But once he finally decided to let it out, it was in the potty and he kept going every 20 minutes after that. He did have one wet pants incident, but we practiced the entire potty-ing sequence many times and that seemed to be enough. All of his trips to the potty after that were without prompting and he did everything by himself. He didn't even want me in the bathroom with him--a refreshing difference between him and Addi. She wanted me to go with her for weeks. I like his independence. I'm super proud of my big boy in panties and don't worry, he'll be getting big boy underwear very soon.
With Addi, we put her in nighttime diapers for over a year after she was potty trained just because we didn't want to mess with accidents. Those things are pretty darn expensive, however, and we've decided to take the plunge to no diapers at all with Jackson. We expect lots of nighttime wetting these first few nights, even weeks, but hope it'll stop after that. I know you are on the edge of your seats in anticipation so I'll be sure to keep you posted on how it all goes with the big guy.

Cross dressing probably got started by moms requiring their boys to wear girls underwear!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully it will not stick and he will not be scarred for life.
Glad the first day was successful and hopefully there will very few wet beds.
Way to go Jackson! - and Mom :)
great job trish! can't wait to start the process on our end!
Hahaha! "No Mom, they're PANTIES!!!" I love it that he doesn't mind wearing them but he can't stand you calling them the wrong name. :)
Tricia: You are doing a great job with Jackson! Really proud of how well he is going.
He seems really motivated and that helps with the process and at that age, it really does not matter to them whether they are boy or girl underwear/panties as long as they are dry and not a diaper!
