He couldn't even feel this little guy on the end of the line but it was still exciting to see it in the water as he reeled it in. We had to get a picture because this is Jeff's first success at his new jugging technique.

Jackson hung onto the rail of the boat and used it to help him jump higher. He was SO excited that we couldn't help but to laugh and celebrate with him. We've NEVER seen him that excited over anything...even cookies.

You can see the excitement on his little face.

Addi saw Jeff and Grandma get "horned" by a catfish last summer and has waffled between an obsession and a phobia of catfish ever since. We had to show her the horns before she'd even think about touching this "big one."

Jackson didn't much appreciate Addi trying to touch HIS fish.

As if that isn't enough fun for one day, we had friends come over after we got home. The Purser's came over for the afternoon and dinner. Jeff and Chris have been trying to get together for a bike ride for a while now and we finally made it happen today. Chris pulled the girls (Addi and Rebekah) behind him in a bike trailer and they went around the entire perimeter of Pecan...a little over 16 miles. Next time we'll have Jeff pull Jackson to make it at least a little more fair : ) While the guys were gone with the girls, us moms took our boys for a long walk in the stroller. Our sweet friend and almost neighbor, Heather, joined us with her little guy, Davis. I think it's the first time for me to do anything with a bunch of little boys and we had a great time talking and walking. I can't believe I forgot to take pictures of the girls in the trailer and my monumental "all boys" walk!
It's been a very full and wonderful day, BUT since we lose an hour of sleep tonight, I'm going to sign off and get to bed. Jackson will be getting his very own special post coming soon so check back early next week. Happy day light's savings time everyone!

Looks like lots of family fun. Hope both kids end up liking fishing and outdoors as much as you two.
Sounds like all of you had a great day! Children are such a gift from God to remind us how to be joyful and excited about everything in life!
Thanks for always sharing that excitement with the rest of us! Your children and you are such a wonderful gift to our family!
